Brilliant work mate.
Just a thought, and I know it's been done already, but......
Why not try and go rock on it.
But some drums in, a rocking bass line, and maybe, just maybe someone will want to buy it
I would

I love it! All of it! The contrasting electric and acoustic guitars give it a lot of texture. The first 3:45 were very enjoyable. Nice transition to a very laid-back, moving piece, and then... "The Messiah"!!!
It's great! You included all the subtle parts and mixed it so well. The organ part is so fluid, and the "vocal" part is so tight and strong.
Great job!

Beautiful performance The production is flawless. I love how you've spread the guitars across the stereo horizon creating the depth of a full orchestra. The voicings you use on the electric guitars all blend so well together.
This is an amazing endeavor that you've pulled off very smoothly and quite effortlessly.
I personally would have been in the first movement.
Excellent work Dan

I have never seen so many comments in a single day. Its well deserved with a masterpeice like this. I really love this sombre middle part that probably would go really awesome with a harpiscord. My new headphones really appreciate the dynamics of your productions! I'm really starting to wonder how you keep track of which sections you have recorded before... plus you probably record each track how many times? I dunno this is fascinating! 500 tracks of guitar? Thats got to be a major pain in the ass to mix. Seriously this kicks ass man! Incredible. Pro

HANDEL
Holy Ding Dong You said 500 guitar tracks???
This is some very very nice playing and mixing. I just love the way you managed to create a complete "orchestral" kinda sound and that just with guitars!!! WITH GUITARS !! I mean, that my dear friend is DEFINATELY AMAZING !!! This is great, GREAT, rhythm is damn good, very well handed on the guitar !! You managed to keep a similar sound flavour as Handel uses in his pieces, and that's definately not easy especially while mixing so friggin many tracks, keeping notice of all of them, having a solid bassline who supports the whole composition, having the delightful leadline/ melody while keeping the accompanying instruments a bit on the background without hiding them behind the other guitars ... FIEUW, YOU my dear Dan are GREAT
Oh this is definately some very nice mixing, great combination of guitars, que style, playing, sound , just WHOOO!!!
I must admit that "classic" music kinda starts boring me when it lasts longer than 10 minutes (yes, even the great ones can bore me) But you, YOU made a great arrangement of this and I enjoyed listening to it 'til its last note !!! Now that's a wonderful challenge to keep me listening 'til the end and YOU MADE IT!!!

I'll agree with everything Abortivemind mentioned, and just say, with this complex a piece, your restraint I find is most impressive. With Handel, you have one of the early Baroque masters, so not one thing is going to stand out, no grandstanding, just every little thing adding up to one big thing. Just the fact you did this yourself is amazing. This is dedication. This is love. This is Realization. Bravo!!!

Ah this is indeed awesome, I just love how, once again the discipline and restraint you've shown us before, pays off in such amounts here.
And I love this piece to begin with: the almost extreme use of dynamics, in everything from different paces to those unimaginably genious mixtures of major and minor.
On the soundside I am particularily fond of the acoustic guitars, they sound stellar, simply
You have presented this piece in a new way with grandour (lol hope that's how it's spelled)!
A terriffic job!

Wild stuff! The Messiah is always good stuff, and you've done a very unique rendition of it here.
Some of the tones you get are very convincingly Handel-sounding, particularly the lower tones and the harspichord-ish sounds. Some of the tones are less convincing, somtimes the overdriven leads tones get a little monotonous. On the other hand, it's good to hear some acoustic in here as well.
I feel like the plucky or harpsichordish notes in the section surround 7:00 and whatnot are too emphasized, like there's an accent on every note.
Other than that, there are some rhythmic snafus during some of the faster parts. But overall this is highly polished and very faithful to the original. Perhaps even too faithful at times -- I'd like to hear you take more liberties with something sometime and really adapt it to a style that's more befitting the electric guitars (I'm a bit of a classical music purist at times, I guess, and if you're going to take it this far ... maybe take it further "out there"!)

Quite a performance. If only cloning was legal you could have your very own guitar symphony Or as good as you are at arranging these pieces with guitar you might think about trying to organize one.As far as I know such a grand guitar symphony has never been done.
Very well done.I must say I enjoy the acoustic pieces over the distorted.Im just a big fan of that classical guitar sound. Reminds me abit of the transyberian orchestra but this is definetly unique. As good as this is I wouldn't mind hearing a version with some drums and maybe a little bass to give it a more rythmic feeling.

Wow, serious musicianship shown in the playing and in the patince it muct have taken to record this. Despite there being 500 tracks it doesn't sound cluttered so well produced as well. Loving all the tones, variety without losing any of the tune. How long did this take to learn?
Great concept too, just on the section where you have a kind of Harpsichord effect giong on, very renaisannce.
I think you already knew you had a bay boy of a track before you posted it but to futher prove this I will say, "This sir, is a bad boy of a track. Good job."

I envy your patience and facility bro; the pleasure and experience you must have eventually picked up from this latest herculean task must be invaluable. Another solid arrangement, and your choice of excerpts is appropriate...doesn't feel like the unnatural butchery that results from most "digest"/abbreviated versions of great works. Props especially for doing the "He Shall Feed..." section justice. The cleaner acousticky sound bounces between sounding like a harp and full harpsichord...either way, it resonates well with the period. The Hallelujah section was a little lackluster in comparison to the earlier sections, which is a shame, as that's the climax of the work. Don't get me wrong, it's beautiful, and very well arranged, it's just got a much larger gap to hop between the power of the voice and the guitar than the other sections. Nevertheless, a serious pleasure to listen.
You had a tough job on your hands here. Anyone with less ambition would tell you that to try to equal the majesty and sheer thrill of a choral work with a guitar arrangement is folly, but I think you've come extremely close here. Close enough to warrant some serious praise. So here's to you!

Here I am again
Very powerful intro. Very beautiful use of stereo, I'm liking the "reply and answer"-play of the guitar scores split up in both "ears" of the headphone. The basslines are well enough accentuated, not too much and not too less, just enough to hear them. Very beautiful use of the picking, it definately has a very pizzicato feeling. Crescendo and decrescendo are very clearly distinged throughout the track. Especially at the end. I don't really noticed something that I would've liked to hear different.

This was awesome, it blew my mind.
Brian May tried to get an orchestral sound on the Flash Gordon soundtrack when he did stuff like the wedding march.
I hope he never listens to this or he may chop his own head off with his red special.
Well done man!

This is certainly an ambitious recording. Very well executed. Man, some of those acoustic layers sound like harpsichord.
I'm sure everything has been covered in the 100+ comments... so I'll just say this is CRAZY GOOD.

These recordings have become legendary and I feel privileged to listen. Handel was one of the few classical artists that was playing in my household when I was a boy. I remember hearing this a few times as well as the water music.
Magnificent achievement to have pulled this off. Shows the versatility of the guitar it that you can substitute so many of the original orchestral sounds with a guitar sound.
