well folks here is yet another multi tracked classical composition that was penned for the piano, circa 1896 by Edward MacDowell...
As usual I am testing out new sounds "in the lab" and trying out various compressors, limiters and other digital goodies and all helpful suggestions are welcome regarding the overall sound quality...
Thank you..!

Sounds good, I can here the piano for the original in this, you've portrayed that image really well, it almost sounds like a piano. Really nice mellow feel to it. Smooth playing, the diting is top notch. No complaints from me. Hard to believe it was originally penned in 1896, sounds like it would fit into a modern day ballad. Again very nice playing, nothing too overly tecnical, but your timing is impeccable. well done.

Not familiar with the piece, but this sounds really nice.
I like all the effects that you've put on this. It almost sounds like you're playing some type of modified piano during certain parts. It has the meloncholy feel of a Vince Guaraldi piece. It also seems to have a wintery feeling to it. Like ice skating or staring out a window at a snowfall.

Every so often it seems to get a bit loud on the first chord of some of the phrases. It might sound smoother if you played it a bit softer on that first beat. What's the word? Pianissimo? Something like that?
Look who's talking....Mr. Clipping here.
But, sometimes it's not the performance that causes that, it's the processing and effects added later.
Makes me wanna pull out my classical guitar.

I dig it. This is really good, I like the amount of effort you put into each piece. I wish Jose Maldonado did not get deported to Spain after I loaned him my classical Seriously, this is really pretty & mellow.

very mellow. i don't think i recall this original composition, otherwise it might make this a little easier for me to comment on. but yeah, its got a very thoughtful, almost saddened, vibe to it. as always, its played perfectly with wonderful tone and production. although, since i haven't heard the original its possible it could be totally different. this isn't as fast paced as many of the classical covers i've heard from you, but its still very good.

Beautiful introduction.
I love it. It would be fun to put a contemporary vocal with it, and perhaps some very light electronica beats.
But that's not a suggestion, really, as I love it simple and acoustic as it is.
This is such a well-chosen piece for you. Lovely.

absolutely calming, gorgeously crafted, and oh so sweet. if classical music had been played for me in grammer school, or even hs, i would have had a great love for my lifetime in music. i've only come to appreciate the genre, (it's really many genre's)in the past ten years. i have a lot to make up for and i know now i'll seek out the original to your beautiful rention here, i'd bappy to learn it through you!! --jd

These kind of piano pieces are always deceptively difficult to play, it's not easy to achieve a mellow, wistful sound and to avoid it becoming laboured. But you have performed this to perfection! Very smooth and flowing - beautifully crafted!
