"I can visualize 50 guitarists..."
And I can visualize 50 majorettes...
Very John Souza from the start - sans horns of course! Made me feel like I was at a fairground...

What could be more perfect on the Fourth of July than this? Dan, this "rough mix" is not very rough at all. Real flag-waving music, and thanks for sharing it with us today. :

oh yeah i listened to this and well i thought i commented
i love this ,this reminds me of when i was a little kid growing up in a military family and we would go to the airshow
only this is way cooler than the brass military band way cooler
awesome dan !!!
the play is fantastic
the mix is pro all the way
so if it sounds "rough" there must be something i'm missing
anyway awesome ,awesome tribute

First of all, super great playing on this one. Your timing and organization of the parts amazes me. The mix sounds professional. The drums are right where they need to be on this I would say.
The only thing that I might like to hear as a comparison just because I'm curious is a wider mix, I'm hearing everything closely centered on my surround setup. It sounds great but I'd like to hear what it might sound like if more things were panned farther right/left to have a wider spectrum of sound.

Crisp and articulate, dynamics are right on.
Guitar tuning and intonation might be too perfect. Oh my God.....! What am I saying........ LOL
Maybe just a little bass light, the tubas and trombones parts need to be popping.....
Very Well Done..... Can I use the word..... “Excellent”, by Joe I think I can…….

Like this mix a lot, it has great dynamic range, the low end EQ is not dominating as can happen with so many guitar parts, which is good but I agree with Gene that the bass could be slightly enhanced for even better effect, but a subtle touch only +1 or +2 db needed. Great musicianship as always !

Whoa, quite a carnival ride. I like the different timbres that you've used with the guitar. The different sounds really fill out the song nicely and makes it sound like a marching band on Main Street in Disneyland. The drums are spot on perfect. The 'tuba'/bass should be brought out more IMHO. The mood shift at the one minute mark is fantastic.
Always a fascinating jaw-dropping experience to listen to your stuff.
Wow!!! And thanks for the invite.
